The high accuracy of the scale corresponds to a deviation of max. +-0.3mm to 1000mm with JIS 1.

The accuracy of the scale is specified as JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) 1.
The deviation of max. +-0.3mm to 1000mm thus corresponds approximately to the European standard EC Standard 1 (max. +-0.2mm to 1000mm). Most folding rules comply with EC standard 3 (max. +-1.0mm to 1000mm deviation) and have also been used for decades to build precisely fitting furniture.
The accuracy of these rulers is therefore more than sufficient for carpentry work.
